Thanksgiving and stuff

First is the "and stuff" part.

On November first Neil and I got to upgrade our phones. We found out if we went to the Apple store we could get a free iPhone 4. Score! I pretty much didn't take pictures on my camera after that. Then on Christmas eve my camera was dead and I could not find the battery charger. Crap. Anyway...

Nora got cuter every day.

Syd invented the "underhat"

Nora got carotenaemia and spent the month of November Orange. I kept thinking I just hadn't washed her face good enough after feeding her, silly mom.

Nora started to get the pincer grasp down. But sometimes it is just to hard to pick tiny things up with your even tinier fingers. So you just have to go straight for the table. Nom nom nom

Sydney made a...spider? Out of toothpicks and an apple.

She built a "gingerbread house".

I finally figured out how to do her hair. Thank you pinterest.

We got to Target one day and found Nora like this in her carseat. Parents of the year here people.

We watched tv with the laundry

We enjoyed amazing weather

We watched some TV

Now for the Thanksgiving part.

We had Thanksgiving lunch at Neil's office.

Rod Stewart came and performed for us.

PSYCH! But doesn't he look JUST like him? And he did sing.

Orange nose.

The highlight of the weekend was sweet Grandpa Rocky's fun ride. Wheeee!

Nora looooved Makayla:)

Julie, Dewey, Makayla, Zayne and Micah came from Cali. It was so fun to see them!

The kids enjoying their dinner. Okay, who am I kidding. Of course they just wanted to play. I told them a story to get them to eat a few bites.

Then Micah took his shirt off to show us his "big muscles" haha so cute:) So Zayne took his shirt off. So Sydney took her shirt off. Naked kids running crazy!

Don't you know that pie tastes better with your shirt off?

This cracked me up because it looks like this doll is all "help me, the kids popped my head off and I want to get into the safety of the kitchen, heeeeelp meeeee"

Yum. This was a little creation Rocky came up with. Roll dough cooked on a stick over an open flame in the backyard. Then fill with pudding and whipped cream.

On Saturday we went home and picked up Mom, Dad and Rachel at the airport. They went to Hawaii for Thanksgiving. How do I sign up for that trip next year? We went to Macayo's for dinner and then they got on the road. Nora looks sooooo orange in this photo. And Rachel looks soooooo cute:)

Silly Sydney

May 3rd- I told her it was time to go home from grandmas she covered her face with her hands and wailed "no one here is being nice to me!" Then later when I told her to please stop doing something she covered her face with her hands and said "No one here is my friend!"

April 29th- In the car we were talking about marriage. Syd said she wants to marry Tyler when she grows up. Gracie pipes up with "Me too!" I said "Okay, that is called polygamy" Later I told Andrea and she said "Uh yeah, and incest!" hahaha

April 11th- Today Syd said "I wish Nora had more hair. I have lots of hair, it's brown. Nora's hair is just.....gray." I told her Nora's hair is blonde. A few minutes later she exclaimed "mom! Nora's hands are blonde! And my hands are blonde too, and yours are too!" Haha she cracks me up:)

March 28th- I just got Sydney out of the bath and asked if she wanted to put pajamas on. She said "no, let's have dad take us out to dinner" smart girl;)

March 26th- Me: Hey Syd Syd
Sydney: What's Syd Syd? That's not correct.
Me: Oh really? What is correct?
Sydney: Just Syd

March 24th- "Mom, if you want to marry dad, you have to have a ring and some flowers"

March 22nd- As I handed her the last juice box she said "mom first could you give a sip to Nora? I bet she's thirsty"

March 20th- She was eating a fruit and yogurt parfait in the car. Nora was crying to have some "mom, could you turn around and get one for Nora too?"

March 20th- "Mom don't you have your phone to tell us where to go?"

March 17th- "Our car is screeching? Like Screech on Saved by the Bell?"

March 16th- Their is something going on with the van and it has been making a pretty bad noise for a few days. Today we heard the noise again and Syd piped up, very seriously "I hope our car doesn't fall apart"

March 11th- Me: Syd, I think you have diarrhea.
Syd: Is that a kind of flower?

March 11th- Mom, don't call Nora poopy girl. We don't talk about poop at our house.

Januray 29th- Walking around with a flashlight- "I'm going jungling!"

January 28th- Nora was being wiggly during story time. Syd leaned over and whispered in her ear, we asked her what she said, her reply was "I told Nora to stop, or Santa would put her on the naughty list"

January 27th- A few weeks ago Syd had diarrhea. Today she said "Mom, remember when I had hiccups in my bum?"

January 15th- Me- "Stop poking Nora's eye!" Syd "But mom I was trying to touch her wings!" (eyelashes)

January 5th- "Nora can't come in the bath with Aly and me, there is not plenty of room!"

December 21st- "Mom I need to wear your necklace so I can be fabulous!"

December 19th- "Nora, if we don't have a crib for you, you can sleep in the hay"

November 20th- Nora was crying and Syd was saying things like "There, there precious girl" and "It's okay sweetie pie, don't cry"

November 20th- Sometimes when both girls are crying (usually in the car) Syd will look over at Nora and say "I know Nora, I'm sad too!"

Nov 5- "A Bugs Life" (movie) is "Bugs lightyear". Winco (grocery store) is "Winter Coat" as in "Dad, today we went to winter coat and then watched bugs lightyear." Cafe Rio is "Caferia" I think a mixture of the name and cafeteria?

November 1- "Nora, I love you a bushel and a peck!"

October 30th- Me- "Syd do you want to wear your jacket" Syd "No, I'm not cold, we live in the desert where it is warm!"

October 29th- Looking at my floral pajamas "Mom, you look like a flower garden"

October 20th- "I freak out when mom tells me no"

September 30th- I was popping popcorn and Sydney said "Mom! I don't like that noise for Nora!" And then as kernels would pop out of the bowl she would grab it and say "I've got you little fella" :)

September 23rd- "Dad! Don't share your Popsicle with Nora, she doesn't have any teeth!"

September 12th- Dad did you take the tape (peel) off my apple?

September 11th- Syd tooted loud, I said "Did you have a little explosion in your pants?" She looked down at her skirt and said "No, I had a little sploshin in my skirt...no, I didn't splode, I just pooped!"
