Mothers Day

This was Andrea's mothers day present. The nurses let Ben, mom and Rachel bring all of the kids in at once and hold Gracie and take pictures. The wonderful nurses put clothes on Gracie and a bow in her hair:) All of the kids got to take a turn holding her (so far only Ben and Andrea have been allowed to do that) it was so good for the kids to have some bonding time with their new sister and to learn not feel so afraid of all of the tubes and how tiny she is.

5 cute kids:)

4 girls!

Tyler is the best brother:)

Swiss Family Schmalz or, A Very Happy Anniversary.

Neil is so tricky. He totally surprised me this weekend (and that is very hard to do). We had planned to go to Ogden on Saturday to celebrate our anniversary and to use some gift cards from our wedding (Macy's and Ruby River Steakhouse, don't have those in Logan or St. George). On Friday night he told me he wanted to take me to dinner. We went to Le Nonne, a little Italian place here in Logan. It is in a little old house and the food was really really amazing! Then we drove away and he said "0h, I need to turn around and go the other way, lets just pull in here to turn around." We pulled in to the Anniversary Inn. I did not catch on until he parked and pulled out a key. We stayed in the Swiss Family Robinson room. It was awesome! That is one of my favorite old Disney movies of all time. I was so sad when they turned the Swiss Family Robinson tree house at Disneyland into the Tarzan tree house. He had gone early and put flowers on the table, rose petals everywhere and there was sparkling cider and cheesecake in the fridge. We spent the night under the fiber optic stars, it was great! The next day we went to Ogden, shopped, went out to eat twice and watched the new X-men movie. It was a great day. I am lucky to have such a thoughtful husband:) Here is a picture of my family at our wedding. May 10th 2008. It could not have been more perfect. Thanks to both moms for making it the best wedding ever!

My latest and greatest idea

So I came with an idea and wanted to share with all of you, but mostly my pregnant friends and family. First off, lets have a story. When I found out I was finally pregnant I was so excited wardrobe! Okay, also I was excited to have a baby, but I love buying new clothes for new occasions. Imagine my disappointment when I found out how stinkin expensive maternity clothes are. I walked around motherhood thinking "um, $40 for a skirt? Don't think so". It was so sad to think that I would not really be able to buy very much. I am a bargain shopper, I love Ross, but it is so hit and miss with maternity clothes. One day I was looking through the regular dresses at Ross trying to see if there was ANYTHING that I could make work for at least part of my pregnancy. I saw a lot of dresses like these (pardon the immodest girl in the first pic)

too short to wear normally, but I looked at the stretchy smocked top and thought "hey, that could fit around my belly!" So I tried some on. Some were the perfect length for a skirt, some were too long. They had a lot of really cute patterns. I bought two, cut the straps off and I wear them all of the time. They each cost $7 or $8? Score! I am going to buy more to wear all summer long. Also, I went to the DI the other day and actually found some great stuff! It was obviously last season, but I don't care when it's just a shirt or jacket. If wearing someones old clothes does not creep you out, give it a try, you never know what you might find:)
The End
PS If any of you have any good ideas for cheap/altered maternity clothes let me know! I will keep you posted with any other great ideas:)

All of my dreams came true

A few months ago I had the best dream. I dreamed (or is it dreamt?) that there was a pizza place that would take orders at night and then they would deliver you a piping hot pizza in the morning for breakfast. Yum:) At the time I was about 8 weeks pregnant, and that sounded so good to me. I woke up thining, "wow, that would be AWESOME!" I told my family, they thought it was pretty funny. So yesterday I got to work and around 10 am the pizza guy shows up....for me! To bring me a hot pizza! It was the best:) Thanks for making my dreams come true Andrea!
It was a great day:) My coworker brought donuts, Neil brought bagels and cream cheese from Einsteins and then we had the pizza, sweet, I am all about the food, what a perfect way to start the day! Then around 2:00 the bookstore brought me a beautiful bunch of balloons from Rachel and THEN around 4:00 the flower delivery guy came and brought me beautiful flowers from my mom and dad! I am so spoiled:) Really I am just lucky to have such a great family:) Later, Neil gave me some presents including the movie "Bed time stories" (Love that movie, I laughed out loud the whole time!) and some really cute new running shoes (my favorite brand), woo hoo! We hung out on the couch and watched TV, my favorite way to end the day. Oh and we went for a walk so I could try out my new shoes, perfect:)
Also, Rachel sent me this picture of Gracie from yesterday:) I think she is getting eyelashes! I told Andrea to check when she sees her today:)

Happy Birthday Dear Sara, Happy Birthday to You!

Hello Everyone, in case you didn't know, today Sara is one year older and wiser too! Sara thinks this is the coolest birthday cake ever. I told her that I would post something on her blog to commemorate her birth, so here it is. My favorite birthday song, which may be the most depressing one ever. Imagine singing it using a slow dreary tune:

Happy birthday, happy birthday,
fighting and despair people dying everywhere,
happy birthday, happy birthday!
One year closer to the grave think of all the food we'll save,
happy birthday, happy bithday!

Of course it is just a joke, and singing it always makes people look at you a little wierd. That's why I like to sing it to people. Anyway, I am sure there are a lot of ways to say it, or sing it, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARA!!!

Good News, Bad News

Good News:
Gracie is growing! Look her arms are not so skinny and her head is bigger (Neil wonders if it's because everyone pays so much attention to her, ha ha) Yay! Good job Gracie.

Bad News- We do not get to go to this place anymore. Stupid Swine Flu. I have never been to Mexico so I was looking forward to checking it off my list. Neil says if I really really want he can take me to Tijuana:) sweeeet. We are still going on the cruise, don't worry. We will go to CatalinaIsland and have a few days at sea instead of stopping in Ensenada. I thought maybe the cruise line could take us up the coast to Alcatraz....that would be awesome. We also get a $50 credit to spend on the ship. I think I will get a massage:)

A very Wilde weekend

On Sat. morning Neil and I headed to SL to help Becky with a few things that she wanted done before the baby was born... she is due June 6th so we worked fast!

We all piled in the van.... Robbie was kind enough to share his ipod with me, he could not believe I knew all of the Beach Boys songs:)
We went to Cafe Rio for lunch, then we went to Lowe's and bough a ton of stuff

This is the nursery before....all girlie and pink

Here it is after, chocolate milk brown.. thats what the paint looked like, and I swear it smelled like it too! (I must be pregnant)

with a green wall because all of the boy stuff is jungle themed, it is going to look so cute!

We are super fast painters if I do say so myself:)

Becky will have to post pictures of the finished room, I CAN'T wait to see it!!!

Then the whole family took us to dinner at Market Street Grill to celebrate my b-day, we had the halibut, it was FAB! :) I love that place!

Evie had the spaghetti, yum:) Isn't she a doll?!

10 points to who can guess what this picture is...

Thanks Becky, Jeff, Sara, Robbie, Evie and soon to be baby boy for a fun fun day!

Gracie might not have pneumonia after all. The spots in her lungs might just be reflux aspiration (not great either, but better than pneumonia). They are feeding her more and more every day. The dr. said that she is eating the equivalent of 3 Thanksgiving dinners a day. Poor little tummy:( But they have to get it stretched so she can get adequate nutrition. The extra food is really helping her grow though, she is gaining almost an ounce per day! Andrea swears she looks fatter:)
